The Two Worlds of the Spiritual Realm
In the spirit world there exist only two kingdoms: God’s kingdom and Satan’s kingdom. We belong to one or the other of these
kingdoms; there is no “in between.” Romans 8 speaks of these two spiritual worlds and the spiritual laws that govern them. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). From this verse we can see that we are governed either by the Spirit of Life, or the spirit of death. The Spirit of Life enters into us when we become “born again.” This is made possible by the death Christ took for us on the cross. He died that we might live.
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross (Colossians 2:13-14).
Until we experience the life of Christ, we are lost in sin and under the power and dominion of the spirit of death which is ruled by Satan.
Within these two spiritual worlds there are also only two ultimate powers that are in existence: the power of Christ (The Spirit of Life) and the power of Satan (the spirit of death), and we are controlled by one or the other. There is no “in between” or third power. Some people believe that man has supernatural power of his own called “soul power.” This is not true because the soulish part of man is ruled by either God or Satan.
